Bio
Zhenyi Zheng is an illustrator, comic artist, and designer based in London. Her work draws on everyday experiences and explores ideas around nature, place, lifestyle, and relationships, resulting in colourful, accessible narrative illustrations. Blending the mundane with the strange, she often crafts silent narratives that explore the tension between the ordinary and the uncanny. Her work is influenced from sequential art and takes advantage of films and photography, and realised in flickering lines and soft colour. She situates her work in the space between reality and fiction, maintaining an objective tone and a sober perspective. She graduated from the Royal College of Art, where she studied Visual Communication on the Illustration pathway, and has since developed her practice through editorial, commercial, and publishing commissions.
